Jasper:
Active quartzite quarry. Video describing quarrying can be viewed at
Jasper Historic Museum, 102 E. Wall St. Tours given Saturday morning
of Quarry Festival.
Pipestone:
Pipestone National Monument. Walk the trail, tour the museum and
interpretive center where crafters work during the summer. Open year
round except Christmas and New Year's Day. Longfellows "Song of
Hiawatha" Pageant is presented each summer. Tour historic
district featuring 21 quartzite buildings including museum, arts
center and refurbished hotel. Visit the picturesque stone bridge
built by the WPA in 1937 in Split Rock Creek State Park, seven miles
SW of Pipestone.

Luverne:
Tour historic buildings and Brandenburg Gallery featuring photos of
noted photographer Jim Brandenburg. Enjoy hiking trails and camping
at Blue Mounds State Park. See large prairie restoration and tour a
bison herd.
