Pipestone: Pipestone National Monument. Walk the trail, tour the museum and interpretive center where crafters work during the summer. Open year round except Christmas and New Year's Day. Longfellows "Song of Hiawatha" Pageant is presented each summer. Tour historic district featuring 21 quartzite buildings including museum, arts center and refurbished hotel. Visit the picturesque stone bridge built by the WPA in 1937 in Split Rock Creek State Park, seven miles SW of Pipestone.
